Para esta pieza, tomo poéticamente como base la medida de la naturaleza. Un ecosistema es un sistema natural complejo, formado por un conjunto de seres vivos (plantas, animales, hongos, bacterias y otros microorganismos) y su entorno físico (suelo, aire, agua, clima, luz y demás factores abióticos), todos en constante interacción.
En su emplazamiento, la obra funciona como un macro-ecosistema compuesto por microecosistemas interconectados. Cada una de sus piezas parte del concepto de Holobionte, introducido por la Dra. en microbiología Lynn Margulis. Desde esta perspectiva, Margulis plantea que todo animal, ser humano o planta —independientemente de su tamaño— vive en simbiosis con múltiples microorganismos. Incluso existen organismos unicelulares que albergan otros seres simbiontes en una relación estrecha y continua.
En esta obra, los visitantes son invitados a vivenciar vínculos inter-específicos (naturales y artificiales) a través del tacto, el olfato y la escucha.

For this piece, I poetically take the scale of nature as my foundation. An ecosystem is a complex natural system, formed by a collective of living beings (plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and other microorganisms) and their physical environment (soil, air, water, climate, light, and other abiotic factors), all in constant interaction.
In its site-specific placement, the work functions as a macro-ecosystem composed of interconnected micro-ecosystems. Each of its pieces stems from the concept of the Holobiont, introduced by Dr. Lynn Margulis, a specialist in microbiology. From this perspective, Margulis proposes that every animal, human being, or plant—regardless of its size—lives in symbiosis with multiple microorganisms. There are even unicellular organisms that host other symbiont beings in a close and continuous relationship.
In this work, visitors are invited to experience inter-species bonds (both natural and artificial) through touch, smell, and sound.
