A modo de objet trouvé, la artista recupera una “percha serrana”: una percha antigua diseñada originalmente para pantalones masculinos. Sobre su estructura aparece una breve poesía publicitaria que celebra el objeto desde una lógica doméstica y de género: gracias a la percha, “la señora” puede descansar mientras el dispositivo estira el pantalón por ella.
La obra desplaza ese imaginario masculino y funcional mediante la incorporación de una bombacha suspendida en el mecanismo original de la percha. El gesto altera la función y el relato implícito del objeto, evidenciando las formas en que diseño, lenguaje y vida cotidiana reproducen construcciones históricas sobre los cuerpos y los roles de género.
Entre humor, extrañamiento y apropiación, BOMBACHA activa una lectura crítica de los objetos domésticos como portadores de memoria cultural y política.

As a form of objet trouvé, the artist reappropriates a “percha serrana,” an old hanger originally designed for men’s trousers. Attached to its structure is a short advertising poem that celebrates the object through a domestic and gendered logic: thanks to the hanger, “the lady” can rest while the device stretches the trousers for her.
The work displaces this masculine and functional imaginary through the incorporation of a pair of women’s underwear suspended from the hanger’s original mechanism. This gesture alters both the function and the implicit narrative of the object, revealing the ways in which design, language, and everyday life reproduce historical constructions surrounding bodies and gender roles.
Through humor, estrangement, and appropriation, BOMBACHA activates a critical reading of domestic objects as carriers of cultural and political memory.
